The installation of this sculpture series establishes an overall
environment, blending forms derived from landscape, architecture,
and human gesture. In the Presence of Witnesses was
first exhibited in an earlier version at South of Market Cultural Center
in San Francisco in the spring of 2000.
This presentation in 2005 includes a number of additional sculptures,
many of them exploring further ranges of color and form.
Through changes in the specific elements, variations in
arrangement and environment, the relationships between
sculptures and the viewer constantly shift.
Each point of reference, each approach and every fresh
observation holds new meaning for the viewer. |
