In the Presence of Witnesses

Passageways and Geomorphs

An installation of 15 ceramic sculptures

Date: March 25-April 23, 2005

Location: Library Gallery

California State University, Sacramento

The installation of this sculpture series establishes an overall environment, blending forms derived from landscape, architecture, and human gesture. As if wandering through a canyon, changes in the specific elements, variations in proximity, arrangement, and the relationships between sculptures and the viewer constantly shift.
I’ve experimented with these sculptural installations over the years, exploring form, color, lighting and various arrangements in galleries in New Mexico, Colorado, San Francisco, and elsewhere. As the viewer meanders through choosing their way, each path, point of reference, approach and observation provides new discoveries.
