Biography

Sam Tubiolo  has taught ceramics and visual arts in universities, community colleges, public schools, centers for developmentally disabled adults, and prisons. 

Mr. Tubiolo has received Artist-in-Residence grants through the California Arts Council and the New Mexico Arts Division, and has worked with The California Arts Project as an artist-educator. Art in Public Places in New Mexico and California feature a number of his works, including many ceramic murals. He holds a BFA from Rochester Institute of Technology, an MFA from the University of New Mexico, and is a retired professor of Ceramics at Sierra College, Nevada County Campus. Currently, Mr. Tubiolo is the Site Coordinator for the William James Association’s Prison Arts Project at California Medical Facility in Vacaville, CA where he teaches Visual Arts.
