Adjacent to Fire Station 41 is a small corner park on which the community designed and built a hay bale and stucco bench a number of years earlier. Artist Kristina Young and I were selected to collaboratively re-design this bench and space. We created this wrap-around tile artwork, Old Mary and the West Sac Goats  to animate the bench with imagery pertinent to firefighting in West Sacramento.
